3: Application Of These Analogies To Man Navigating Toward His Goals In Life

Man uses his own personal value system or Societies' Norm or well being as his Reference. Wait a minute, how does Man keep these different value systems synchronized, so that Men can understand each other?

Simple. Man lives in separate compartments of self, family, community, state and Universe. This is quite Sane, if Man realizes each separate compartment has a separate Norm. However, Man sometimes behaves as if he believed the conflicting Norms were equivalent.

Reference Error Due To Two Definitions Of Abnormal. The textbook, Abnormal Psychology, presents two definitions of abnormal. 1

One definition is for a person behaving close to the Norm, is referred to as Normal. Meanwhile, a person far from the Norm is considered to be abnormal

A second definition of abnormal is derived from a person behaving against his own well-being and self-actualization. The normal person is a person who behaves toward his own well-being and toward his freedom to self-actualize.

Most Psychologists now use the second definition of abnormal. I do the same except for one addition to the second definition of Normal. I add the requirement for free choices before you make a choice. 2

2 Reason for choices: I show in the Light Unto Nations and additional LIGHT articles, that failure to consider choices before making the choice, can cause automatic psychological defense mechanisms resulting in the person behaving off the wall, crazy. Much more will be said about this later.
